(Cover) - EN Movies - Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Cannes International Film Festival yesterday.

The Hollywood stars met while shooting new Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris and have been dating since last summer. The pair have preferred to keep their romance out of the spotlight, but finally decided to go public for a screening of their new movie at the opening ceremony of the prestigious event in France.

Rachel looked stunning in a sheer Marchesa gown with bright red embellishment and embroidered 5ft. train and Michael made no secret of his feelings for her.

"She's a genuinely lovely lady as well as being stunningly beautiful and very talented," he told Entertainment Tonight Canada before a screening of Midnight in Paris.

Rachel and Michael looked happy and relaxed together as they held hands on the red carpet. When Rachels train became crumpled, Michael was happy to straighten it out for her when she stopped to wave to the crowds.

The couple recently sparked engagement rumours after the 32-year-old actress was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger. Although they have denied they plan to wed, Rachel has admitted she dreams of getting married and settling down just like her parents.

"[My parents are] still together and still in love," she told Elle in a recent interview. "I'm very blessed that way. I had a great example of love in front of me, and that's probably what makes me such a romantic." (C) Cover Media
