(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Melissa George has revealed she is "fluffy and funny".

The actress, who has starred in a number of horror films including the 2005 remake of The Amityville Horror, explained that because of her sunny personality, she likes to get involved with dark films.

The gorgeous blonde thinks shooting scary movies balances out her "silly" side.

"I like dark films, but it's not really the genre that appeals to me," she told Total Film magazine. "I'm really a dag', as we say in Australia; I'm silly. But when you go to work you want something the complete opposite. When I go to work, I don't want to be me. Who I really am is fluffy and funny."

The 34-year-old also spoke about her physical new role in her upcoming movie A Lonely Place To Die.

Despite being a keen rock climber, Melissa says years of expertise couldn't prepare her for the physical aspect of the role.

"[I play] A rock climber who gets mixed up in a kidnapping in the Scottish Highlands and becomes a heroine and a saviour. She's strong and dynamic - it's a great role for a woman," she said. "I've been climbing for years, but nothing prepares you for filming. In real life you might be climbing for a day; when you're making a movie you're doing it for six weeks straight." (C) Cover Media
