Michael Fassbender had "no qualms" about "throwing around" his Haywire co-star Gina Carano.
Gina plays a former member of the black ops called Mallory who has to fight to stay alive after being double crossed in the Steven Soderbergh action thriller.
The mixed martial arts champion had a number of fight sequences with the male cast, including Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas and Michael.
Gina says Michael liked to get stuck in with the action.
"The Fassbender fight is definitely special. It took two days [to shoot] and I don't think he had any qualms about being physical with me after he met me," she revealed in an interview with MTV News.
"He was like, 'You know what? She's somebody I can throw around and not hurt.'"
Gina has recalled her favourite parts of the fight scenes with Michael. The star says shooting was made even more fun thanks to the actor's jokes between takes.
"It was just a beautiful fight scene. There were so many funny stories because he is a hilarious human being," she gushed.
"We had a couple different stories that involved a vase getting smashed in his face. I think the bed scene where I choke him out with the triangle choke and then roll over, and then nobody really expects me to shoot him like that. I think that's been a very powerful scene."
