(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Michael Fassbender believes talent alone does not guarantee success in the film industry.
The actor is becoming one of the hottest names in Hollywood following acclaimed performances in Irish prison drama Hunger and 2009s Inglourious Basterds.
He also appeared in gory action movie 300 as adventurous soldier Stelios.
But Michael, who has landed a part in the latest adaptation of Charlotte Bronts Jane Eyre, thinks many promising actors do not make it to the big time because they are not lucky enough.
Talent is a very small per cent of success there are massively talented people out there who will never be seen on screen or on stage, he told Vogue magazine. People always go on about talent, but youve got to have the chance; meet the people who will work with you, and with the script that just suits you. Timing is massive.
The 33-year-old admits he is extremely professional in his career meticulously learning his lines. He takes care to work hard, and only allows himself to enjoy his time on set when he is confident in a role. I bring a very pragmatic, practical process to acting. The boring stuff. Its about graft. Its as simple as that, he explained. When I get a script Ill just read it, read it, read it 200 times over and over; until Im sick of it. And then you can have fun with it. (C) Cover Media
