November 11, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has always been a directors delight to work with and each filmmaker has tried to bring out his hidden talents in their films. Recently, he was seen in the role of a struggling middle aged junior artiste in director Gaurav Pandeys 'Shukno Lanka'.
From Bollywood to Bengali films, Mithun has impressed everyone and the latest in the line is filmmaker Suman Ghosh of 'Dwando' fame. Ghosh is totally bowled over by the veteran star and approached him for a very crucial role in his next film titled 'Nobel Chor'. Mithunda has also given his nod for the project but is not ready to disclose anything about it now.
The screenplay and the story of the film has been written by Ghosh himself and he wants to establish the relevance of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagores thought in present Bengal.
Apart from Mithunda, the film will also star veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee, Indrani Haldar, Roopa Ganguly, Saswata Chatterjee and Sudipta Chakraborty. Ghosh will be shooting the film in Kolkata and in some villages around Bolpur and Santiniketan.
It seems Mithun is going to rock the world once again after his continuous success in the 80s with films like Disco Dancer, Agneepath and Boxer. Mithun has also rocked the audience with his recent release Golmaal 3. He has been seen in his best comic avatar.
Now, we hope he offers something really entertaining and different with his Nobel Chor avatar too! We believe the spicy side of the actor has not dried up with 'Shukno Lanka'!
