Nithya Menon has earned the wrath of Malayalam film producers, who have imposed a ban on her, besides requesting their counterparts in other languages to take action against her.
Accusing the actress, who became popular in Tamil with Veppam and 180, of insulting senior producers when they visited her on the sets of director T K Rajivkumar's upcoming flick at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Film Producers Association has imposed ban on her.
According to sources, a top Malayalam producer approached Nithya Menon to sign her for his next film. Despite not turning up to talk to him, she passed a message that her manager would look into matter. This had irked Malayalam producers, who took the matter seriously and decided to ban her.
This is not the first time for Nithya to hit the headlines for wrong reasons. Earlier the actress was in the news for her 'disturbing comments' on top Telugu actors Venkatesh and Prabhas. Now she is at it again, this time for 'insulting' senior Malayalam producers.
