Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna, has joined the list of motorsports aficionados as he bought the Hyderabad franchise for the i1 Super Series motorsports race that will be held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) New Delhi in January.
The racing league already had two franchises with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan taking on the Mumbai franchise and Management Guru Arindam Chaudhuri, the Delhi franchise.
Announcing the partnership, Anjana Reddy, director, Machdar Motorsports, said, 'I am very pleased to announce that we have finalized our team owners for Hyderabad for the upcoming i1 Super Series to take place in January, 2012. It is a huge boost to us to have a star like Nagarjuna to be part owner of the Hyderabad franchisee. He has been the face of Telugu cinema for a long time and is an excellent addition for the i1 Super Series.'
Nagarjuna said, 'I am looking forward to the i1 Super Series, India`s first major motor sport league and am happy to be associated with it and to lend my support to Anjana and her team. I am confident this league promoted by Machdar Sports will prove to be the platform to showcase India as a powerful entity in the world of motorsports and entertain the youth of India.
