Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel are all geared up for their upcoming movie together ‘Shortcut Romeo’ which will be a remake of Tamil hit film ‘Thiruttu Payale’. To be directed by noted Tamil filmmaker Susi Ganesan, who had also directed the original Tamil movie, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Susi Ganesan as the director of the film. The film also marks the bollywood debut of Telugu actress Richa Gangopadhyay who plays a pivotal role in the film.

According to her statement to a newspaper the young actress said, “It's my debut film in Hindi. I play the role of Sonia Agarwal. It is completely different from the other roles that I have played in my Tamil films. I just signed this film and director Susi Ganesan was surprised to know that I had already worked in Tamil and Telugu. He thought I was a budding Bollywood actress.”

Neil confirmed on his Twitter account, “Took test early morning for the next film! Shortcut Romeo. The homework we got to do, reminds me of school! But then school wasn't fun."

Sources revealed that Neil will be playing the character of a local rowdy goon while Ameesha will be featuring as a rich, glamorous girl. The romantic thriller film is expected to go on floors next month.
