(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Neil Patrick Harris considers himself to be "one of the luckiest people around".

The 38-year-old American actor is famed for his role playing Barney Stinson in How I Met Your Mother, and is the star of this summer's smash family movie The Smurfs.

As well as enjoying a fruitful career, Neil's personal life is just as successful as he and partner David Burtka welcomed fraternal twins Gideon Scott and Harper Grace into the world last October thanks to a surrogate mom.

"I'm one of the luckiest people around, these days," he gushed to Total Film.

"Not only do I get to act in a TV show that I love, as a hilarious character, but I now get to dabble in big movies; I have a wicked fun life and a family now; I do theatre when I can...I guess my portfolio has diversified recently, and in great ways."

Neil admits his career and family life successes have made his schedule rather hectic. He won't moan about it though, as he wouldn't have it any other way.

"I'm busy, but I certainly can't complain," he beamed. (C) Cover Media
