Nick Jonas is being lined up for a recurring role on a US TV show.
The singer-and-actor is making a guest appearance on Tim Allen's sitcom Last Man Standing. The Jonas Brothers star will play deadbeat dad Ryan, the estranged father of Boyd, in a special Christmas episode.
His scenes will see him clash with Tim's character Mike Baxter.
The show is due to air on December 25 and Nick could make a return to the programme in the future.
"Nick Jonas' guest appearance on Last Man Standing could turn into a recurring theme. Jonas will be playing baby-daddy to Allen's eldest daughter for the show's Christmas episode. It's a new direction for once squeaky-clean JoBro, who appears to be tackling a slew of more grown-up projects," reports New York Post.
Nick has also filmed a guest appearance for new NBC show Smash and is heading back to Broadway in January.
The 19-year-old has landed the leading role of J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Nick will star in the show until next summer.
He is currently preparing to set up home in New York City.
The star has found an apartment in Manhattan and is reportedly planning to move to the east coast next month.
