(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nick Lachey has revealed that his time on Stars Earn Stripes was "exhausting."

The singer-turned-television host is one of the celebrities to participate in the new show where they have to execute military-inspired missions.

Each star is paired with a member of the U.S. military branch or police officer for the difficult exercises.

"The mud, the muck is so thick that even crawling through it is exhausting," the father-to-be says of his challenge to crawl under a barbed wire fence in a muddy field.

"There [are] explosions going off. It's absolute chaos. I looked over at [operative partner Tom Stroup] and stopping was not an option for him."

Nick will be joined by actor Dean Cain, Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince and former boxer Laila Ali among others.

Nick's wife Vanessa Lachey is expecting their first child, a boy, any day now and the 38-year-old says he can't wait for his son to "get out here." (C) Cover Media
