The US celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, an annual holiday originating with citizens giving thanks for a fruitful harvest.

Nowadays Americans use the holiday as a chance to reflect on what they are grateful for, and many celebrities took to social-networking website Twitter to let their fans know what they have appreciated this year. Television personality and style guru Nicole made a particularly proud post, joking that shes grateful for her good looks and charisma.

"Today I'm thankful for my flawless face, winning personality, & smokin' hot body (sic), tweeted the star.

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber took a far more sentimental approach, telling followers he has enough reasons to be thankful to fill a tome. Justin has had an incredible year so far, and recently became the youngest artist ever to win the Artist of the Year trophy at the American Music Awards (AMAs).

"I could write a whole book saying all that Im #thankful 4, he wrote.

"But let me just say that every new day is another blessing (sic)."

Meanwhile, actress Alyssa Milano decided to thank Twitter itself for existing. The star is an avid user of the website, and is thrilled people like to follow what she has to say.
