Nicole Scherzinger crafts performances around how she is feeling.

The 33-year-old singer and judge on American talent show The X Factor admits that she is highly emotional.

Her mood often sways her decision on what songs to perform.

"I have the song [I will perform on an upcoming episode of The X Factor] in mind, but I never know if I'm going to change my mind depending on how I'm feeling," Nicole told E! Online.

The songstress is preparing for the release of her newest album Killer Love.

Nicole can't wait for her supporters to hear the record.

"I'm so excited. My fans have been so loyal and just waiting," she explained. "Obviously I've been waiting to put the album out to make sure that I have the time and the love to promote it."

This album was a highly personal effort for the star.

Nicole recently broke up with racing driver Lewis Hamilton after a four year on-and-off again relationship.

The former couple are rumoured to be reuniting again romantically.

Nicole found it important that she authentically express her true feelings on passion and love in her new tunes.

"I've gone deeper than I've ever gone... The album's called Killer Love because I'm talking about love, a hard love. It's worth going through if it's meant to be. I've been through a lot of hard times in my life and I'm sharing that through my music," she added.

Killer Love will be released in the US in early 2012.
