Nicole Scherzinger happier performing solo

7th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicole Scherzinger finds it easier performing without the Pussycat Dolls.

The 32-year-old singer shot to fame as the lead singer of the all-singing and dancing troupe, alongside Jessica Sutta, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts and Melody Thornton.

The band split earlier this year so they could focus on solo projects, and Nicoles career has been going from strength-to-strength ever since.

The stunning singer admits being on stage is less nerve-wracking now shes flying solo, as she used to compare herself to the other Pussycat Dolls members and feel insecure.

Are you kidding me? Its easier. Before I had the four most beautiful girls behind me so I was more self-conscious, she told Look magazine.

Despite finding solo performances easier, Nicole does miss the energy she and her former bandmates had together. That doesnt mean to say she isnt thrilled about the direction her career has been taking.

I miss the girls, especially on stage because we had such a good energy. But I love music and Im grateful to be able to continue to do it and Im loving what Im doing as a solo artist, she beamed. Its pop, up-tempo dance, rock n roll, soul and funk. (C) Cover Media
