Nicollette Sheridan is facing an anxious weekend to find out if she has won her lawsuit as the jury in her case is currently in a deadlock.

The former Desperate Housewives actress is suing show creator Marc Cherry and the ABC network claiming that she was fired from her role as Edie Britt because she alleged that Marc had hit her.

Earlier this week Judge Helen Bendix dismissed the battery claim against Marc saying there was not enough evidence to prove Nicollette's case.

And yesterday the jury foreman told the judge that they had been unable to reach a verdict and were deadlocked at 8-4. However, they did not reveal whose side had the most votes.

"We have viewed many exhibits at length and have not had a change in opinion since early on day one of deliberations," RadarOnline reports that the note read. "We have had extensive discussions regarding the evidence."

The jury was convened for the weekend with the judge saying she appreciated how "frustrating" it was for them.

Judge Bendix said that she would declare a mistrial on Monday if the jury still could not reach a decision.

E! News is also reporting that Nicollette's legal team was currently in settlement talks with ABC and they are trying to come to an agreement between them.

Nicollette wants $4 million in damages from the case which has so far lasted two weeks.
