Despite the film emerging as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, there will be no celebrations for the film ‘Mankatha’ which is completing 100 days in a couple of weeks.
Revealing the reason, producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri wrote on his microblogging page, 'Ajith Kumar won't attend any public functions. So there is no point of having a 100th day celebration function for ‘Mankatha’ without the lead actor of the film”.
Dhayanidhi produced ‘Mankatha’under his Cloud Nine Movies banner. This movie incidentally happens to be actor Ajith Kumar’s 50th film. Later it was acquired and distributed by Sun Pictures in association with Radhika Sarath Kumar's Radaan Media.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, ‘Mankatha’ also saw Arjun, Trisha, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaran, Anjali, Lakshmi Rai and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles. The music director of the film is Yuvan Shankar Raja.
