No TV show for Rajkumar Hirani for budget constraint

4th June 2015

Rajkumar Hirani, whose signature genre is comedy is riding on the success of his latest film, 'PK'. He was also being pursued by a TV channel as a judge of an upcoming comedy show, but budget constraint laid Hirani back off.

The director seeked Rs. 25 lakhs per day for his TV show debut. As the show was exceeding its budget, the makers of the show gave up the chase.

The show reportedly may fall into the kitty of comic actor Boman Irani whose remuneration is a mere Rs. 8 lakhs. The show wanted a joint venture of the two pioneers, but it looks like the makers have to juggle with options.
