Just recently, there were reports that Irrfan Khan and Deepika Padukone will be seen romancing each other in Shoojit Sircar's'Piku', which also stars superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
While the film does star Deepika and Irrfan in pivotal roles, it will not be Irrfan but Bengali star Jisshu Sengupta who will romance the Bollywood diva.
"It's a big break with a director I really admire and with actors I really love. It has been my dream to work with Mr. Bachchan from the time I decided I wanted to be an actor," Jisshu told a leading daily.
"Irrfan-ji is another actor I truly admire. As for Deepika, isn't she everyone's favourite dream girl these days?," he further added.
Jisshu made his Bollywood debut opposite Ileana D'Cruz with a small appearance in the film 'Barfi' and the actor will next be seen in YRF's 'Mardaani' as Rani Mukerji's husband.
