Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh is suddenly making news for all good reasons.
After a decade of doing sex comedies and multi-starrer films, the actor slowly and steadily started carving his own niche.
He ventured into production and came up with some brilliant Marathi cinema in the recent past. He played it smart by not jumping to Bollywood with production, but chose an unconventional route to make his name as a producer.
As for acting, the star stunned everyone with his performance in the film 'Ek Villain' where he played the baddie.
But after acting and production, Riteish has something else on the mind, yet again. He wants to now explore the field of direction and is playing with the idea to helm a film someday.
"I have thought about direction," confirms Riteish who also adds that he needs a lot of time to prepare for the same.
"If I've given it (direction) a thought today, I need three years to act on it. You can't do it on impulse; you need to understand the job. It's a lot of work and a lengthy process. I will probably work on it in a year or two," he added.
He further explains that direction is an obvious choice for him. "As an actor you own a part of the film, as a producer you own the entire film, but as a director, you are the magician; you are the creator. After acting in so many films, I progressed to producing the content that I believe in, and supporting what I feel will be successful. Now, I'd like to direct." he concludes.
