P. Diddy wants to be paid to party

15th April 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - P.Diddy has reportedly been requesting up to $45,000 from New York nightclubs to host an after-party.

The 41-year-old rap mogul is famed for his extravagant party lifestyle, and when he and bandmates Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper are in the US city for their Diddy - Dirty Money tour dates, it is believed the rapper is being especially demanding with post-concert party venues.

Sources say the hip-hop star, who will be playing venues in the city such the Hammerstein Ballroom on April 22 to promote the album Last Train to Paris, has been making some rather shocking demands to a string of clubs in the trendy Manhattan district.

New York Post reports that Diddy has been requesting as much $45,000... with $25,000 payable to the artist when the venue signs on the dotted line. Sources claim the rapper would then like the rest of the money three days before the party takes place.

However, it seems many venues arent keen on meeting Diddys figures, and think the musician is confusing New York with Las Vegas.

"It's unlikely that [a club] in New York would pay that amount," one nightlife promoter told the publication. "For that amount of money, Vegas makes sense. That's normal for Vegas. New York doesn't work like that."

Apparently exclusive hotspots such as Hudson Terrace and Pacha have already declined hosting the soiree, while nightclubs still said to be in with a chance include swanky venue Shadow.

It has been reported the rapper wants his after-party to feature ice that "must be clean" and a waitress personally assigned to him and his posse, as well as a "VIP area strictly for Mr. Combs' use". (C) Cover Media
