'Padman'- First Indian film to be screen at the Oxford

Good news, as well as a proud moment for everyone in India as Author turned producer Twinkle Khanna, has been invited to speak at The Oxford Union, renowned as the world's most prestigious debating society. It will be a prestigious moment for the 43-year-old actor who will address the students of the Oxford University on January 18 and will talk about her first venture film, 'PadMan'.

The official twitter handle of the worlds most famous debating society announced the welcome of Twinkle with a tweet that reads "@mrsfunnybones is coming to the Union! 🇮🇳📽️ Check out the event and how to ballot for a chance to meet India's bestselling female author, dedicated activist, and former actress.''

Even her husband Akshay Kumar retweeted the tweet and captioned, ''Starting a conversation on a global level! @mrsfunnybones to speak about #PadMan at @OxfordUnion, the debating society of #OxfordUniversity." 

Twinkle will also give an insight into the story of the movie and how such a simple social awareness film will play an interesting role in tackling taboos and addressing the information around menstrual hygiene. This will be the very first an Indian film will be screened at the Oxford Union. This R. Balki directed film features Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles and is set to release worldwide on Jan 25.
