PeeCee makes a field visit to Rohingya refugee camps

22nd May 2018

'Quantico' actress Priyanka Chopra is the Global Unicef Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights and she stands for UNICEF every time when her moral responsibility calls her. After attending the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, PeeCee flew to mark her visit at the Rohingya refugee camps on a UNICEF tour.

The 35-year-old tweeted her pic in which she is looking out from the aircraft window and wrote "Follow my Instagram to share my experiences as I visit the Rohingya refugee camps on this Unicef field visit. Children uprooted, the world needs to care. We need to care," That's so generous of the actress to be the part of such an initiative that looks after the underaged innocence refugees.

Priyanka has worked with Unicef for a decade and was appointed as the national and global Unicef goodwill ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016 respectively. She promotes causes such as environment, health and education and women's rights among many others. A staggering figure of 700,000 refugees have fled violence in neighbouring Myanmar and arrived in Cox's Bazar since August 2017, according to the UN.

Last year, Priyanka had met Syrian refugee children in Jordan. Her visit to Bangladesh to see the current scenario is really an act of generosity.
