(Cover) - EN Star Style - Pixie Lott says her clothing motto is the shorter the better.

The 19-year-old pop star regularly attends designer catwalk shows and even has her own clothing range with the British fashion retailer Lipsy, making her somewhat of a style icon for young women.

Pixie says she achieves her cute signature look by customising garments she hunts down in vintage stories, and admits she usually ends up making things shorter to show off her slender legs.

The good thing about vintage is that if it doesnt quite fit, you can customise it, like make it shorter. The shorter the better! she laughed.

The blonde star says its really important for her that she stands out from the crowd, and confessed to having a real fondness for retro glamour.

I think girls always look nicest in dresses and really high heels. But you should wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and what makes you feel seductive. But I think its always good to look unique so that you stand out, she advised. (C) Cover Media
