Contrary to an earlier announcement that STR starrer 'Vaalu' would hit the screens this Deepavali, a fresh announcement has been made, claiming that the actor's upcoming film 'Poda Podi' would be released on the auspicious festival.
Starring Simbu and Sarathkumar's elder daughter Varalakshmi in lead roles, the film is helmed by Vignesh Siva.
The film was first in the pipeline and then has been in the making for a very long time.
The score and soundtrack of the film are composed by Dharan, while cinematography and editing are handled by Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively.
"The film is a romantic entertainer and has been in production since 2008. It will release on Deepavali, November 13th, 2012. STR is hopeful that it will strike the right chord with the audience," revealed Sarathkumar.
