'Poster Boys' and 'Daddy' get a lukewarm response

11th September 2017

Ashim Ahluwalia's co-written and directed 'Daddy' and Shreyas Talpade's acted and directed 'Poster Boys' were the two new popular releases previous Friday. However, both the films failed to achieve huge opening mark to count on, but gained momentum towards the end of the week.

The family entertainer 'Poster Boys' which is a clean comedy drama with no below the belt jokes had the upper hand by grossing 7.25 crores from the opening weekend, whereas Arun Gawli's biopic which deserves much more than the present box office numbers ended up with 4.60 crores mark by the end of the weekend.

The reason can be the fact that Daddy is an 'A' rated crime drama genre and 'Poster Boys' is a pure family entertainer. Both the films had stellar performances within their genre. Arjun Rampal earned massive applauds for his acting even from the critics this time considering it as his career's best performance by far. Lets see if the coming week works with the audience word of mouth publicity then the film surely can shift its gear to earn more on the box office.

Let's see what the coming week has to say.
