Prateik Babbar has been flooded with interesting offers lately. The latest in the pipeline is the remake of his mother Smita Patil's classic drama film 'Bazaar' that released in the year 1982. Producer Sunil Bohra is keen to revive the film and remake it in Hindi. However it was not easy for him to convince the original film's writer-director Sagar Sarhadi. He had to negotiate for quite a long period of time as the director was not ready to give away the rights of his classic.
However, Sunil immediately agreed when he learnt that Sunil plans to cast Prateik in the role of the character Sarju that was originally played by Farooq Shaikh. Well that's quite a big opportunity to fall in Prateik's lap at such an early stage of his career. As far as the female lead is concerned the talented Tabu might be roped in to replace Smita.
It remains to be seen how the project develops from here on.
