After a mediocre outing in Vaamanan opposite Jai and Nootrienbathu opposite Siddharth, Priya Anand is all set to debut in Bollywood. She will be launched in the Hindi film industry by celebrated filmmaker Balki, who made movies like Cheeni Kum and Paa, which had Amitbah Bachchan in the lead.

The untitled new project of Balki will be shot completely in the USA. Priya has been approached to star in the film since she was in US till recently. Close sources say that she will be leaving to New York with the unit by the end of this month.

The film that is expected to have Junior Bachchan aka Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, is said to be a feel good entertainer. Priya Anand is obviously thrilled for working with a legend like Balki and a top actor like Abhishek.

It may be recalled that there were reports in a section of the media that she was approached to do the female lead in Kamal Haasan's Viswaroopam. However the actress denied the rumours. And now, Priya Anand is thrilled to foray into Bollywod in a big way.
