Actress Priyanka Chopra has kickstarted the shoot for the much awaited Prakash Jha's upcoming cop thriller, 'Gangaajal 2' in Bhopal.
While the 2003 film addressed the issue of acid attacks in Bihar, this time the cop fights back bad men infested in gender politics in Madhya Pradesh.
Priyanka said, "I've worked with incredible directors like Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Vishal Bhardwaj and now it's Prakash Jha who is not making a cop drama because it is the trend."
This time, the director, Prakash Jha will also be acting in the film and Priyanka exchanges war of words with him in the first scene as Prakash plays a junior officer in her department.
The actress has given Prakash 45 days to complete the film until she flies to US for her upcoming American TV show, Quantico where she plays lead as FBI agent, Alex Parrish.
She said, "From August, for the next six months, I will be flying back and forth since I still have 25 days of shooting for Bajirao Mastani left."
The actress was welcomed with a bouquet at the airport.
