In the wake of the rape incident of a 5-year old girl, Bollywood actor and UNICEF goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra stated that she'd like to make Indian society a safer place for women.

"I hope and I want to create an environment where girls could be safe. With UNICEF, we are trying to create actual physical environment for girls where they could be safe, especially in villages," said Priyanka about the initiative.

The actress was present at the art and cinema memorabilia auction organized by United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and IPL team Delhi Daredevils, in association with auction house Osian's for the 'dare-to-care' campaign that was initiated recently.
