January 5, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): The Producers and Writers Guild in America have announced the nominations of the different sections in film categories for this year. Quite expectedly Inception and Black Swan have made it to the top spots in the popular categories of both the Producers Guild Awards and the Writers Guild Awards. It is Inception, Black Swan, The Fighter and The Kids Are All Right which will compete for the Darryl F Zanuck Award which is given to the producer of the best motion picture of the year. The four films have also been nominated in the best screenplay category.
Some of the other notable films produced during the course of 2010 are The Social Network, 127 Hours, Toy Story 3 and True Grit and therefore all of these films will be fighting against one another to secure the Producers Guild Awards and the Writers Guild Awards. But it is not only the best films which will be rewarded at the Producers and Writers Guild Awards. The Producers and Writers Guild of America also award the best television productions annually and this year too, some of the best TV series will be rewarded.
According to reports in the media, the Producers Guild Awards for the year 2011 will be held on the 22nd of January, while the Writers Guild Awards will go on stage on the 5th of February. Judd Apatow will serve as host for the evening at the Producers Guild Awards.
