(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rachel Weisz doesn't like admitting she got "expelled" from school as it makes her mother "very upset".

The British actress was a confident and opinionated youngster. She often caused trouble at school due to her inquisitive personality, although she doesn't like to bring it up in front of her parents.

"I'm not at all certain about the origins of my brazen personality. My father was an inventor a nutty professor type. I had a chemistry set in the shed, and I liked to mix things up. I wanted to discover something important. I always felt a bit like a misfit," she explained in an interview with Psychologies magazine.

"I was a tomboy. I also had a problem with authority. If a teacher told me to stop doing something, I didn't see why I should listen. So I was politely asked to leave one school when I was 14. Please don't say I was expelled. It will get my mother very upset. I was asked to leave', that's the official line."

Rachel insists she always had a rebellious streak. The stunning star caused mischief throughout her childhood.

"I was always considered the rebellious one and even at boarding school I connected with a similarly social agitator type," she revealed.

"We were assigned to a separate dormitory so we wouldn't contaminate the other girls with our radical ideology." (C) Cover Media
