One has to say, that A. R. Rahman and awards are becoming inseperable. The Oscar and Grammy award winner, has now been nominated for seven awards at the Chevrolet Global Indian Music Academy (G.I.M.A.) awards.
The 'Mozart of Madras', as he is called by his fans, has been nominated in all the seven categories for his work in the Bollywood film 'Rockstar'.
The categories include Best Music Arranger and Programmer, Best Background Score, two nominations for Best Playback Singer Male along with Javed Ali and Mohit Chauhan, Best Music Director, Best Film Song and Best Film Album.
Currently in his hometown that is Kollywood, Rahman is scoring music for his mentor Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal', Shankar's 'I', superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiyaan' and Gautham Vasudev Menon's 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru' starring Vijay.
