After combating several controversies and delays, the makers of the film ‘Rockstar’ finally fixed the release date of the film and announced its arrival on 11th November 2011. The film’s release has been delayed quite a few times as first, it was slated to release in mid 2011, later it was fixed to release along with Yash Raj’s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. However, to avoid the clashes, the producers locked 11th November as their release date as no other film was releasing on that day, besides the producers also considered the ’11-11-11’ combination a lucky-auspicious date for release.

However, after all the careful decision to release the film with no other film as its competition, the makers now have to face the threat coming from the foreign soil. ‘Rockstar’ will have ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star Freida Pinto starrer Hollywood flick ‘Immortals’ as their competitor as it releases on the same day as Ranbir’s film. The film starring Freida and Henry Cavill is directed by an Indian origin director Tarsem Singh.

It will be interesting to see who wins in this Hollywood v/s Bollywood race.
