His mute expressions in 'Barfi' enthralled the crowd as he didn't fail to impress the audiences even once with his awesome performance. Yes, we are talking about Ranbir Kapoor, who is one of those actors who has achieved so much in a short period of time.
Last weekend, the actor made his family proud as he bagged the 'Best Actor' (Male) award at the 58th Idea Filmfare Awards. Interestingly, Ranbir didn't use the mike to give his thanksgiving speech. Instead, he thanked everyone with expressions, without the use of any words like his character in 'Barfi'.
On the other hand, Vidya Balan won the 'Best Actor' (Female) for her performance in 'Kahaani'. This was one of the best suspense films in 2012, all thanks to Vidya and her team.
While thanking everyone, Vidya said, "This goes to the entire team of Kahaani. And thank you (cinematographer) Setu for making a pregnant women look beautiful. This is very special to all women who have lived their life with courage."
Talking about the Filmfare awards she added, "As a child, I would stay glued to the TV to watch Filmfare. And here I am today with a trophy. As the bible says ask and you shall receive."
The awards were presented to them by Rekha and both touched the veteran actor's feet to seek her blessings.
Besides these two, Irrfan Khan won the Critics Awards for Best Actor (Male) for the film 'Paan Singh Tomar' and Richa Chadda won the same in the female category for the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.
