Rani Mukerji, the aspiring Mafia Queen

6th May 2011

After donning the role of a hard-hitting journalist in her last film 'No one Killed Jessica', Rani is again in the mood for some real action. The critically acclaimed actress, who allows her acting do the talking, is now open to doing some real stuff on-screen. Rani was recently one of the honored guests to release the renowned crime journalist S Hussain Zaidi's second book, 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai'. When someone at the event quizzed her on whether she would do the role of a real woman mafia on-screen, pat came the reply that such strong women have always caught her imagination and she is certainly looking forward to such roles, if they come in her way.

Well, was that just light hearted comment or was that a suggestion to Vishal Bharadwaj, who was just seated next to Rani. It is a known fact that Vishal has already declared that he will be soon making a fully fledged film on one of the short stories in the book, the rights of which he has already bought. After the debacle of 'Saat Khoon Maaf' with Priyanka, Rani might just be the perfect choice for Vishal.
