Ravindra wants to withdraw his film from theatres!
22nd June 2011
Just after three days, director cum producer of 'I am Sorry…Mathe Banni Pritsona', HP Ravindra, has decided to withdraw the film from the 58 theatres that don't have a good attendance. Besides this problem, 40 theatres would be snatched the next week by other Kannada releases.
For the first time in history a well-made film that received rave reviews, the producer and director are taking such action.
"I have incurred an expense of Rs.3.5 crores and spent 18 months for this film. I cannot take the burden of paying theatre rents further. It is enough. The media reports have not reached the audience and there is no attendance of audiences all over Karnataka," says Ravindra.
"From Tuesday I have instructed the exhibitors and distributors to withdraw the film from the theatres." he pointed out.
