(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reese Witherspoon has joked that she "makes out" with her friend Jennifer Aniston.
The pair enjoyed some time together last night at Elle's 18th Annual Women in Hollywood Tribute at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
When Reese took to the podium to introduce her former Friends co-star, she told the story of how scared she was playing Jennifer's younger sister in the hit television sitcom.
"I just had a baby and I could not stop watching Friends," the actress said about giving birth to daughter Ava who is now 12-years-old. "I was super duper excited y'all!"
"In all my enthusiasm, I completely forgot something crucial. I had never been on television or in front of a live audience ever in my entire life. And I panicked! I totally froze!
"I couldn't remember my lines and the writers were yelling."
But she said that Jennifer came to the rescue and pulled her aside and asked her if she was okay.
"She said, You're going to make a mistake and you're going to flip your line and whatever and the audience is going to love it,'" Reese recalled. "'Don't try to be perfect, just try to be yourself.'"
Reese said that it was "the story that sort of captured Jen the best for me."
"On one hand, she is this gorgeous breathtaking beauty that men lose their thought process and their speech patterns over," she said of the Horrible Bosses star. "I've actually seen this; it's incredible when they see her. And, on the other hand, she is a woman who lets you in."
Reese continued to gush about Jennifer and said that the 42-year-old, who is currently dating Justin Theroux, has a lot of attributes many other people do not possess.
"There's not that many people actually that have this incredible combination of sex appeal and complete lovability," Reese continued.
"You just want to get your nails done with her, and you want to make out with her at the same time at least I do!
"First we get our nails done, then we make out! It's totally awesome. That's because she's my friend, not yours!"
Jennifer was clearly blushing at the over the top compliments and had less to say when she went to accept her award but she obviously felt the same way about the Oscar winner.
"Good Lord, Reese Witherspoon!" she said. "Wow. I adore you and I thank you for those beautiful words."
The annual event is held by the fashion magazine to pay tribute to those who have redefined women's roles in movies.
Other stars who were recognised included Viola Davis, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto, with Barbra Streisand receiving the L'Oral Paris Legend Award. (C) Cover Media
