Rihanna Brown track wasn't shock tactic'

4th March 2012

Rihanna didn't record songs with Chris Brown to "shock", says a friend.

The songstress has caused a stir of late as she appears to have rekindled her romance with Chris after exchanging messages on Twitter and even reportedly spending Valentine's Day together. They split three years ago after Chris physically attacked Rihanna and was subsequently charged with felony battery.

Last month, the pair even simultaneously released remixes of tracks featuring each other.

However, a friend close to Rihanna says the star wants to send a clear message through doing such a thing.

"She'll have recorded with Chris not to shock but to remind the world that he's paid his dues and moved on, and that he's a very talented singer. I think she feels strongly that one bad moment in his life should not define who he is forever," a source told British magazine more!

Reports have been surfacing that Rihanna's closest advisors have been warning her to stay away from Chris for the sake of her career. Some are reportedly saying a relocation might be helpful.

"Rihanna has talked it over with Jay-Z and other friends and everyone's telling her it would be a great idea to move to London," the source added.

"On one hand, I'm sure she wants Chris back, but on the other, she must realise she's a role model to young girls and simply can't take back a boyfriend who beat her.

"The best way to avoid temptation is to remove yourself from it altogether."
