The 22-year-old pop star is careful when it comes to lending her globally-famous name to products but clothes are especially precious to her.

The singer admitted she has been personally putting time and effort into studying fashion because she wants to create a line she has masterminded herself.

Ive been doing a lot of research into fashion, she said. I should have a range already, but Im stubborn. Lots of companies want to stick my name on a range and hand me a big cheque. But if its my name on it, it should be me designing it.

The young entrepreneur has already penned drawings for a bikini and a jacket for her new label.

Soon her perfume, named Rebl Fleur after the phrase Rebelle Fleur she has tattooed on her neck, will also be out. She is proud of the scent, but says her increasing range of skills and exports will not change who she is deep down, or her love of shopping.

Rihanna plays a weapons officer in new movie Battleship, but even that couldnt dull her love for new clothes.

My character is a bada*s, she said. Shes so far from who I am in real life. I mean, shes not about shoes. When we started filming, I actually felt guilty for shopping. Like I was giving in to the real Rihanna too much. (C) Cover Media
