(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Robbie Williams has been receiving private tuition from darts champion Phil Taylor so that he can beat his fellow Take That band members in the game.
The 37-year-old singer is currently preparing to hit the road alongside Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald for their European tour in May.
However, rather than spending his time swotting up on dance routines or stretching his vocal chords, Robbie has reportedly been more preoccupied with honing his darts abilities. He has even sought secret tuition from expert Phil, nicknamed The Power, who has won an impressive 15 World Championships.
Weve had several sessions over the past few months. Anyone who knows Rob will tell you hes very competitive and he wants to show the others hes the best player, the 50-year-old darts hero told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.
Hes a smashing boy and hes not looking a bad player at all.
Apparently the group are planning a darts tournament during their tour, which opens in Sunderland, UK on May 27. British star Phil admits he will probably visit Robbie when hes on the road to make sure his darts skills dont falter.
Ill go and see Robbie at some stage on the tour to check on his progress, he added. If I think hes losing bits of his game, Ill get him back on track. (C) Cover Media
