(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rod Stewarts wife Penny Lancaster has given birth to a boy.

The couple welcomed a baby boy, Aiden, into the world at Great Portland Street Hospital in London, England, on Wednesday. Aiden weighed in at a healthy 7lb. 12oz. and both mother and baby are doing well.

"After the long-awaited arrival of their second child, Rod and Penny are proud and thrilled to welcome Alastair's baby brother, Aiden, into the world. Mother and baby are healthy and blissfully happy, said a spokesman for Rod, who now has eight children.

The 66-year-old rocker and his 39-year-old wife already have five-year-old son Alastair together

The couple struggled to conceive naturally and Penny later admitted it had been an emotional rollercoaster. The former model who will celebrate her 40th birthday next month went through a series of IVF treatments before she fell pregnant last year.

Rod recently said this will be his last child and he is planning to leave America because Penny is keen for their kids to attend a British school.
