(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ronnie Wood has revealed his marriage broke down because he was bored.

Ronnie made his name back in the 60s as the guitarist of iconic rock band The Rolling Stones alongside Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts.

The 63-year-old hit the headlines two years ago when he left his wife of 23 years, Jo Wood, for Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova and went on a marathon alcohol binge.

The rocker has remained tight-lipped about the incident until now, admitting that he walked out on former model Jo because he felt he had lost his authority in the family.

I was getting under the cosh too much. I was bored with not being able to make decisions for myself, he told British newspaper The Daily Mail.

Ronnie met Jo in 1978 and they wed seven years later, going on to raise four children together. The rock star says it wasnt just the actions of Jo which made him feel trapped, admitting he felt overpowered by his offspring too.

Other people were making decisions for me including my kids, added the star. I thought: Hang on. Im not being in charge of my life. And thats what I had to be.

Ronnies relationship with Ekaterina, now 21, ended last December after he received a caution for assault when an argument got out of hand at their Surrey home.

The guitarist now claims he is happy to be off drink and drugs, and is dating the Brazilian artist Ana Araujo.
