Rose Byrne admits that she is "dreadful" in disputes.

The 32-year-old Australian actress is known for her hilarious performance in hit comedy film Bridesmaids.

She now portrays eloquent lawyer Janet McTeer on American TV legal drama Damages.

In reality Rose finds it difficult to persuade people to side with her when she's caught up in a disagreement.

"I'm dreadful! During any argument, I get flustered and I can't articulate myself," she said. 

Fun loving Rose is nothing like her stern attorney character in Damages.

"People think I'm serious, but I'm quite light-hearted," she explained. "I'm also Australian, and people are surprised by my accent. They think I'm faking it."

Rose is looking forward to leaving Hollywood for a short break and spending some of her summer having adventures at home.

"I'll be in Australia for a few weeks," she shared. "Last summer I went tubing down the Delaware River. I hope to do it again, it was like being in a Mark Twain novel."
