Rosie O'Donnell feels like she's getting married "for the first time."

Rosie has four children with ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, whom she married in 2007 after several years of being together but divorced in 2010.

The 49-year-old comedienne can't wait to wed her fiance Michelle Rounds despite the failed union in her past.

Rosie believes that the ceremony will be drastically different this time around.

"We're trying to make it a day we will not forget," Rosie told Extra. "It's fun 'cause I didn't do this with Kelli [Carpenter] the first time. We didn't have family around, so it feels like the first time, in many ways."

The event details are still not finalised, but Rosie will make sure that she looks fantastic when she eventually walks down the aisle.

"I lost 16 pounds!" she gushed.

Michelle is currently visiting a fertility doctor and is actively trying to get pregnant. Rosie is elated with the prospect of expanding her family with the woman she loves.

"When I met her she told me she was trying to have a baby. I thought that was great. I said to her, 'You'll never regret it.' " she said. "And she's 40 now and she's going through all the stuff you have to go through to make that happen."

Rosie and Michelle met in a Starbucks coffee shop in 2011 and made their public debut as a couple in September at Rosie Theatre Kids Gala in New York.

The couple are planning to marry this year.
