Prabhu Dheva's 'Rowdy Rathore' starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha was a huge hit. And now we hear that the filmmaker is planning to make its sequel.

The film that released in 2012 had made it to the 100 crore club and proved to be a turning point in lead actor Akshay Kumar's career as well.

Now two years later, the film which was a remake of the Telugu film 'Vikramarkudu', is all set to have a sequel.

The sequel will yet again be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will star Akshay as the lead. However, the rest of the cast is yet to be locked.

The filming for 'Rowdy Rathore 2' will commence next year.
