(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ryan Reynolds never gets told he's sexy during supermarket visits.

Last year the 34-year-old Canadian actor was voted the Sexiest Man Alive in US publication People's annual list, beating the likes of Bradley Cooper, Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson to the top spot.

Ryan appreciates the accolade, although is quick to point out it doesn't have much impact on his daily routine.

"Look, it doesn't hurt. I wake up in the morning and my hair is four feet in one direction like everybody else. I think those things mean a lot more to people like my mom," he laughed to the British edition of OK! magazine.

"It's not like I'm shopping in a supermarket and someone comes up and says, Sexiest man alive, can I help you with something?' It only comes up in interviews."

Despite being flattered by his sex symbol status, Ryan doesn't take comments on his looks too seriously. That said, he wouldn't appreciate being called the least attractive guy in Hollywood.

"Help? It's definitely better than Unsexiest Man Alive, that's a tough moniker," he mused when asked if his status had helped his career.

"It's mostly silly, that kind of stuff." (C) Cover Media
