The wait is now finally over and the Sanjay Dutt biopic is officially out with a release date. Yes, this Ranbir Kapoor starer film will hit theatres on June 29 now. Earlier, the film was rumoured to release on 30 March, but due to some post-production reasons, the dates have been postponed.
The fans cannot are eager to see this movie as it would show the real-life journey of Bollywood's most controversial actor Sanjay Dutt. The 58-year-old actor himself had earlier said in an interview with the Indianexpress.com that he has worked closely on the story with the makers.
"I was not sceptical at all. Raju, Abhijat and I sat for many, many hours and I laid the cards right out in front of them. I have nothing to hide. I’ve never had nothing to hide either," he said.
On Friday, Fox star Hindi and Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted and confirmed the film's official release date. The Dutt biopic is made by Rajkumar Hirani, who previously made blockbusters like the Munnabhai series, 3 Idiots, and PK.
Tentatively titled Sanju. In an interview, Hirani opened up and said, "Biopics can be very one-sided. But this is a biopic with all perspectives and is a very open biopic."
The film also features Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Dia Mirza.
