Sarah Michelle Gellar admits that juggling work and family life is a serious "learning curve."
The 34-year-old actress is mother to two-year-old daughter Charlotte Grace, her only child with husband Freddie Prinze Jr.
Sarah admits that it can be challenging balancing career, family affairs and philanthropic pursuits simultaneously.
"It's a learning curve, it's definitely a learning process," Sarah told People magazine. "My hat goes off to anyone that juggles all of it because it's very hard. You always feel like there's a part of you that's not giving enough to one, whether it's work or your family or your charitable donations."
Sarah's daughter Charlotte frequently visits her mother on the set of her TV show Ringer and doesn't think her mum's occupation is too hard.
"She totally knows what my job is. My job is to get my hair and makeup done," Sarah laughed. "[She thinks my job is] to go in the hair and makeup trailer."
Sarah appreciates how arduous motherhood can be at times and wants to help others in any way she can. The actress participated in the Carousel Designs sponsored Operation Shower event in Los Angeles on Wednesday to help 40 expectant military families receive the necessary baby products they need.
Sarah is proud to be passing down her passion for charity to Charlotte.
"I was telling my daughter before I left today I said, Mommy is going to go to a baby shower for people who don't have other family here and don't have everything they need,' " Sarah explained. "She said, I want to give them something!' It's just so cute for her to understand what I was doing; it was important to me. She wanted to donate a stuffed animal."
