Sean Penn has sparked rumours he's rekindled his romance with a former flame.

The actor was spotted getting cosy with model Petra Nemcova at New York's Lexington Bar and Books last weekend, according to the New York Post.

The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl is said to be seeking solace from Sean after calling off her wedding to British actor Jamie Belman.

The two first started dated in 2008 and have appeared together at several Oscar parties. At the time Sean insisted they were just friends as he was going through a divorce from Robin Wright.

Now Sean and Petra have fuelled rumours they have reunited after they were seen together at dinner.

"Petra was all over him like crazy. She was rubbing his shoulders and rubbing his leg," a source told the US publication.

"She was hanging all over him. Sean looked like he was playing it cool. But they did leave the restaurant together."

Petra was engaged to Missing star Jamie in January 2011 after dating for eight months but called it quits earlier this month. She was also engaged to photographer Simon Atlee, who was killed in the 2004 tsunami disaster in Asia as they vacationed together.

The reports of her romance with Sean come after Scarlett Johansson confirmed she dated the actor. The 27-year-old actress was linked to the I Am Sam star for a short while last year following her split with husband Ryan Reynolds.
