(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Selena Gomez is "really bad" at offering relationship advice.

The 19-year-old actress-and-singer is currently dating popstar Justin Bieber. Despite the success in her own love life right now, Selena admits she's pretty useless when it comes to offering tips to others.

"No, I'm really bad at advice when it comes to that," she told the British edition of OK! magazine when asked what dating advice she had for young girls.

"The only thing I ever tell my fans is that it's just not worth it to be with someone that you're not yourself with.

"I've conformed to a lot of guys that I've liked before. It's just not enjoyable and I'm just miserable half the time."

Despite being one of the most desirable ladies in showbiz, Selena used to be very nervous around the opposite sex. For a long time at school she harboured a secret crush as she was too shy to confess her feelings.

"I never had guys in school - ever. It's a very awkward time in anyone's life. When it came to a crush, I never told him. You're not going to be able to find that self-confidence until you are OK with yourself," she added. (C) Cover Media
